    Ireland’s Top Designer

    John Rocha, Philip Treacy, Paul Costelloe, Peter O’Brien, Mia O’Connell, Emma Manley & Eilis Boyle were just some of those shortlisted for Ireland’s Most Influential Designer 2010.

    There are also quite a number of designers in their twenties on the shortlist, which is a testament to the vibrancy of the industry despite harder times for fashion, not just in Ireland, but globally.

    So now I have my own mannequin. Rootstein make mannequins that appear in the world’s major fashion houses, department stores and boutiques. For over 50 years they’ve been basing their models on what they see as the emerging faces and bodies of the industry. Many moons ago they plucked Twiggy from obscurity, more recently their mannequins have been exact body doubles of Erin O’Connor, Agyness Deyn, and of course, in 2008, Coco Rocha!
