Update: Nominations are now closed. Thanks to all of those who voted.
I thought there would be no better way to end 2010 than sharing with the world some of Ireland’s most influential, as well as up-and-coming, designers, photographers, editors, models, stylists and more. Enter the definitive list of Ireland’s Most Influential in Fashion 2010. As opposed to me deciding on the list, it’s going to be up to the community at large to decide who those people are.
To help with proceedings, I’ve created 10 categories for which you can nominate those you feel have been influential in fashion in 2010. Nominations are now open to the public for each category and can be found below. Nominations will close this Friday at 6pm. All those nominated will be profiled, and then from mid-December, the community will be invited to begin casting their votes in each category. Those nominated should be working in Ireland and of any nationality, or of Irish origin and working abroad.
Everyone will be able to track the voting online, so it will all be very transparent. In early January we will announce the most influential in each category. In addition to being named the most influential in a particular category, each of the ten top influencers will be invited to Paris in February, just before Fashion Week, for a private event at which they will be honoured. Attendees at the event may include some interesting and wonderful people from the world of international fashion – you’ll have to be there!
